Australia (Sum up)

AUSTRALIA

Australia is located in the southern hemisphere between the Pacific and the Indian Oceans. Its official name is the Commonwealth of Australia, its capital city is Canberra, its national anthem is the Advance Austrlia Fair and its flag the Southern Cross.

Australia is composed of 6 states : New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, Victoria, and Southern Australia; and 2 territories called Australia Capital Territory and North Territory (see http://www.atlasgeo.net/fotw/flags/au%28.html ).

Australia is fourteen times as big as France (7 682 300 km²) and three times less populated. Indeed, 97 % of the space is uninhabited.

°°° Political point of view °°°

Australia, as a member of Commonwealth, is a federal parliamentary democraty. Its constitution had been drafted in 1901 and comes from both British parliamentary traditions and the American system.
Executive power is done by a general governor who represents the British authority; and the
legislative one is done by the Senate and a Chamber of Representatives.
(Senate = 76 members : 12 per state and 2 per territories)
Each state has its own parliament with the two chambers except Queensland (only one) and the British sovereign is represented in each state by a state governor.

°°°Demography°°°

Actually, aboriginals only represents 1 % of the population. In fact, Australia is nowadays a melting pot:

- three fourth of people are from Irish or British roots ;
- 18 % have other European ancestors (mainly from Italy and former U.S.S.R.) ;
- 7 % of people with Asian roots ;

It’s absolutely absurd because European people colonised Australia in 1788 whereas aboriginals lived there for 40 000 to 60 000 years….

I might be adding some informations on this later on...

Halo 3

beautiful gunstock hit from the blue Spartan
  • Halo 3 is a futurist war game where you are sergent chief S-80 (a Spartan as above) who tries to fight off aliens. The name halo describes the gigantic weapon of aliens which is a belt that circles worlds and destroys them...
  • In the new version, some annex path have been added such as searching hidden skull which give you more options in point matches as "monsters explod in confettis when head-shot =)" ... it's so great !
  • Even if the story mode is very short (less than ten hours) I've been dragged in. The multiplayer game will be better and matches in four versus four very distracting.
  • In a graphic point of view, there's nothing to say, this game is splendid and there's nothing to change.

Go on http://www.gamekult.com/video/7372005/ or http://video.google.fr/videosearch?q=halo+3+trailer to see the trailers =)

Play it and enjoy it !

All my apologies to England and France of course... the bets in my last article were... far far away from reality !! Congratulations to French and English teams!

I'm sad for the defeat of Aussies but revenge is coming with our French team : COM'ON Blues, get them all !!!

I warn you English people, in our team we've someone that will break your Wilkinson in two : he's known as Sebastien Chabal or Hannibal Lecter II =)

Come on AUSSIE !!

their best player Gregan Tuqiri
At the moment in France the rugby world cup is on . I support the French team of course but I also like the AUSSIES (Aussie is the name given to Australian people).

This week-end they'll play against the English team. Poor little Roses, they'll be eaten by the Wallabies =). there is a special feeling each time they play each other because England is the country where rugby union was invented but Australia has been winning every confrontations for years now, the only time the Brits won was the last world cup final, and it was in Australia, so has you can see there are tons of reason to look forward to the game.

And it seems it'll be the same for our French team against the Blacks...

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. OY! OY! OY!

See Ya !!!

What about me?

Hello world !
I'm known as Anthony, but most people call me Bij as you should do. Actually I'm a second year statistics student in the city of Lisieux (is that a city??) and this blog is part of my English lessons.
I'm not very good for presenting myself so... i'll try to do my best.
Forget about the "what I like?" and "what I dislike?" questions, it's too boring and you'll figure it out while surfing on my blog.
